KPD Arrests Wanted Subject on Drug Charges On January 20, 2026, at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s D-Squad checked out with a suspicious vehicle in the area of Plaza Boulevard. Officers made contact with the driver, identified as Adam Spence (38), and determined he was wanted for an unrelated Order for Arrest.

KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Two former Lenoir County jail employees pleaded guilty Monday to providing contraband to inmates and were sentenced to supervised probation. Shaniqua Reed, 37, of Magnolia, and LaDarius Hines, 26, of Kinston, each appeared in Lenoir County Superior Court, where they pleaded guilty to one felony count of providing contraband to inmates.
